Rostyslav Sipakov (Ross S.) is a scientist, researcher, and entrepreneur. He was born in Belarus to parents who were Belarusian and Ukrainian. Rostyslav graduated from the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture with his Ph.D. in Environmental Science (2021).
After completing his bachelor's degree, he enrolled in one of Belarus's top universities, where he majored with an M.Sc. in civil engineering. He began his professional career as a general contractor for the construction of urban areas but quickly realized that he wanted to take on more significant challenges to minimize the impact human-made sources have on our environment.
His interests include air quality management, science, and technology for environmental data analysis, civil & environmental engineering. He actively develops specific skill sets such as GIS mapping software usage or remote sensing techniques, including satellite imagery interpretation. He also works with Node, MongoDB, React, TypeScript and GraphQL to build web applications from scratch.
His active research is primarily in the areas of air pollution due to the transportation activities in the urban regions and focusing to makes cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. Also, he writes about building a sustainable business, environmental safety, and social justice to make companies work without harming the environment.
